The first handset produced in Bangladesh is coming in the market and after a few days.

Now, while handing over these handsets to the customer, only waiting for the BTRC’s IMEI number submission-verification clearance. BTRC is looking forward to opening the way to this history.

Uda Hakim, Senior Operative Director of Walton, told TechSharad.com that the permission for production of three models of handsets was matched. Their production also ends. Walton will be able to give a gift to Maid in Bangladeshi smartphone in the coming weeks.

Prior to this, on October 5 this year, Walton launched the first handset addition-manufacturing factory in Bangladesh by launching its first handset manufacturing factory in Bangladesh.

Walton DG-Tech Industries Limited is named after the factory of Chandra in Gazipur. The factory size is 2 lakh square feet.

There are about 1 thousand workers in the factory, including local and foreign engineers. At the beginning, four manufacturing units were introduced in Walton’s factory. Every unit has the capacity to produce 4,000 handsets a day.

During the inauguration of the factory, Walton had informed that initially the target of 5 lakh handsets of production in the month. This will add six models of handsets. The government gives the essential facilities to develop the country’s handset manufacturing industry. In the budget of the fiscal year 2017-18, the government provides a large amount of concession on the import of machinery for the addition and production of mobile phone handsets locally.

In this case, the notification was issued by fixing the import duty of 10 percent for the SD (semi-knock-down) method and 1 percent for the perfect knockdown method. Earlier, the duty was 37.07 percent in both cases.
