Imgur of 17 million users stolen information

Popular photo sharing platform image has been hacked. Although the case recently came to notice, the hacking incident took place in 2014. The image authority has reported this through a blog post.

According to the company’s blog post, hacking attacks resulted in data were stolen 17 million users from the image. The information was stolen in ID and password.

The imgur usually does not collect users’ addresses or contact numbers. So users are not likely to steal any information related to it. Hackers attacked the old algorithm of 2014. Then the name and password were stolen.

The CEO of the company, Roy Sehgal, said the image is sorry for the users for the hacking attack. But we are always ready to give customers security. Algorithm update was updated in 2016

Now, hacking is not a threat to data stealing, but users can quickly change the ID and password of the image, Roy Selglal
