Google’s e-mail service is using less than 10 percent of two-factor authentication or two-step security in Gmail, even though cyber attacks are increasing day by day. Which is considered to be the most effective means of online account security. It means, about 90 percent of Gmail users are not safe from cyber attackers.

According to Google’s engineers, weak password makes it easy for hackers to take over any account. That’s why any user, especially people working in different organizations, should have two-factor authentication as soon as possible. Because there is a relation between the various officials and the information of the organization, including their accounts. Google security expert Greygorge Milkko said in a presentation that only 12 percent users in the US use the password manager to protect their accounts.

Google’s advantage works in two steps. It works through a code. The code can be found through the message or authentication app. Apart from this, the process can also be done through mobile phone popup or pre-saved code. Basically, after entering the password for access to the account, this step is verified through additional steps.

The Google Two-Factor Authentication Facility was first launched in 2011. Despite a long time, the tendency of users to use two-factor authentication is very less. Although two-factor authentication takes a few seconds to get into the account, it is the most effective and easy way to keep account safe from cyber attack.
