A Bangladeshi has joined the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) board of the largest organization of the Asia-Pacific region of information technology sector. Senior Associate of Software and Information Services (BASIS) Rasel T. Ahmed has been selected as the Appicator Marketing Chairperson of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS).

Recently, in the meeting of the 57th Executive Council of the Appicator in Myanmar, the new governing body is elected for the year 2018-19.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaed Ahmed, Call, Telecommunication and IT Minister Mustafa Jabbar, congratulated Rasel T Ahmed on being elected as the Appicator Marketing Chairperson.

Rasel T. Ahmed said that this achievement is complete in Bangladesh. Having a place in the APICATOR Executive Council will be an opportunity to further enhance the progress of Bangladesh’s IT sector.

Malaysian star Singh, Vice Chairman and Apicata Award’s Judicial Sub-Committee has been elected as the new Chairman of the Apikter Board of Directors, and has been elected as the Chief of the Judicial Sub-Committee of Australia’s Fulvio Incera and Dilipada di Silva as the Chief of the Supervisory Committee.

Apart from Bangladesh, APICATOR member countries are Australia, Brunei Darussalam, China, China Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
