অনলাইন ডাটার বিষয়ে চীনের কঠোর নিয়ম কানুনের কাছে হার মানল আমেরিকান কোম্পানি আমাজন। দ্বিতীয় বৃহত্তর অর্থনীতির দেশটিতে পাবলিক ক্লাউড ব্যবসা করতে গিয়ে আমাজন বেশ বড় মাপের বাধার সম্মুখীন হচ্ছিল।
কঠোর নিয়মকানুনের কারণে এবার তারা চীনে নিজেদের হার্ডওয়্যার পার্টসগুলো বিক্রি করে দিয়েছে স্থানীয় কোম্পানির কাছে।
চীনে আমাজনের হার্ডওয়্যারগুলো ৩০১.২ মিলিয়ন ডলারে কিনে নিয়েছে বেইজিং সিনেট টেকনোলজি। অবশ্য প্রথমে খবর বের হয়, চীনে পাবলিক ক্লাউড ব্যবসা বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে আমাজন। কিন্তু কোম্পানিটি তা অস্বীকার করেছে। তারা বলেছে, শুধু হার্ডওয়্যার বিক্রি করা হয়েছে। কিন্তু তারা এখনো চীনে কার্যক্রম চালিয়ে যাবে।
আমাজন ওয়েব সার্ভিসের মুখপাত্র বলেন, ‘চীনের নিয়মকানুনের সঙ্গে চলতে সিনেটের (বেইজিং সিনেট টেকনোলজি) কাছে আমাজন নির্দিষ্ট কিছু অবকাঠামো বিক্রি করে দিয়েছে। তবে বিশ্বব্যাপী ইনটেলেকচুয়াল প্রোপার্টির মালিকানা এখনো আমাজনের। চীনে ব্যবসার বিষয়ে আমাজন আশাবাদী।
