Foreigners say ‘wao’

Digital World-2015 information technology exhibition is going on in the country. In addition to this, another notable novel ‘Apikta Awards Dhaka-017’ in the Information Technology sector started in the capital on Thursday. 400 international guests in such a big international arrangement of foreign guests.

BASIS Senior Vice President and 17th APICTA Awards Dhaka017 convener Rasel T. Ahmed said that through this arrangement, there will be a great opportunity for Bangladesh and Bangladesh to improve the progress of IT sector and to highlight the opportunities and advantages of investment in Bangladesh. Earlier, many of us had questions about our ability to organize such an event. There is a chance to present our capabilities this time. We want to introduce the identity as a professional and visiting nation. All arrangements have been made for this.

Russell T. Ahmed said that while taking out the possibility of information technology and development in Bangladesh, foreigners should say ‘wao’ to take steps to take action. Special arrangements have been made in the capital’s Radisson Hotel to brand Bangladesh as a beautiful country in front of them. The competition will be held on 8th and 9th. On 10th, the prize will be given special arrangement at Bangabandhu International Conference Center.

The Directorate of Information and Communication Technology, and Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) jointly organized the event from 7 to 10 December under the supervision of the Department of Information and Communication Technology.

The Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA), the largest organization of the IT sector in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to the development of the information technology sector of this region, every year, Apikta Awards are organized to recognize potential and successful initiatives, software and information technology. For the first time, APICTA Awards are being held in Bangladesh.

In 2015, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) Apikoter got membership. After being a member of Bangladesh’s executive committee twice in the meeting. Bangladesh won the prize for the first time in the year 2016 in the APICTA Awards. In just two years of getting membership, this is the newest member of the APICTA Awards, the first in the epicater history.

Russell T. Ahmed said this is the first such event for the Bangladeshi IT sector, with 400 foreign guests from 16 countries. In addition to their safety, there are special accommodation and help desks available in the accommodation hotels. With the help of Teletalk, SIM is being provided free of cost with internet. Uber’s cooperation is making the participants easy and secure. Special steps have also been taken to celebrate the event. Welcom Reception, Bangladesh Night and Hong Kong Night will be held with invited competitors. The program will be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) on 17th APECTA Awards Dhaka 2017.
