Preparations for organizing festival with Bangabandhu-1

The government has made final preparations for organizing nation-wide festivals in the evening of Bangabandhu-1 satellite launch on 5th May in Bangladesh.

Fireworks festival will be celebrated in at least five areas of the capital to keep the centenary of its own satellite launch. The festival will be held in all districts simultaneously. But the center of the festivals will be the center of the Suhrawardy Udyan.

Hatirjheel, Uttara RAJUK School, Ahsan Manzil and Kachpur Bridge have been named as the venue of Dhaka city.

Apart from this, the satellite from the United States Florida pad will be released, also from Bangladesh and launch company SPSEX will also be organized.

The program costing 16 crore taka was spent. However, if the need for additional money will be taken from the BTRC. Instructions have been given to invite tenders, to take action to arrange fireworks, campaign and event management.

The Postal Department will take initiatives to publish a commemorative postal stamp on the occasion of satellite launch.

Meanwhile, the concerned people say, although preparations are made, in many cases, during the launch of satellites, due to slight mechanical error, launch can not be done at the right time. Most of the time, it has to be launched with the new 8-10 hours time.

They are also considering keeping in view the festival.

The telecommunication department said, in addition to the formalities of launching the US in Florida, the main event will be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the country. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be at that event. Though the main address of the Prime Minister is in Bengali, it has been instructed to prepare sub-titles in Arabic, English, French and Russian languages.

In addition to the use of social media as part of the campaign, the telecommunications division will organize a talk show with experienced and famous people through various publicity.

After signing the contract in November 2015, France’s company Thalass Alenya Space started construction of Bangabandhu-1 satellite. Its construction ended in November last year. And due to launch in December, for several reasons it has been postponed.
