গুঞ্জনকে সত্য করতেই এবার ফেসবুকেই বিভিন্ন ভিডিও শো চালু করছে ফেসবুক। এই সুবিধা চালু করলে একইসাথে ইউটিউবের সাথেও প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা শুরু হবে প্রতিষ্ঠানটির।
বেশ কিছুদিন আগেই গুঞ্জন শোনা যাচ্ছিলো যে টিভি শো ও সিরিজ নিয়ে নতুন সুবিধা দিবে ফেসবুক। এবং এর জন্য বেশ বড় রকমের অংকের টাকার বাজেট ও তৈরী করে ফেলেছে তারা। সেই গঞ্জনকে সত্য করেই এবার ফেসবুকে চালু হচ্ছে “ওয়াচ” সেবা। এই সেবায় নতুন টিভি শো সহ অনেক কিছুই উপভোগ করতে পারবেন ব্যবহারকারীরা। আর যারা এই ভিডীওগুলো তৈরী করবেন তারা এর থেকে বিজ্ঞাপনের আয় বাবদ পাবেন ৫৫ শতাংশ আর ফেসবুক পাবে ৪৫ শতাংশ।
গত বুধবার ফেসবুক এক ব্লগপোস্টের মাধ্যমে ওয়াচ এর কথা নিশ্চিত করে। যদিও আসলে ঠিক কি কি থাকবে সেই সেবায় তা পরিষ্কার করেনি কতৃপক্ষ। তবে, মার্কিন সংবাদমাধ্যম সিএনবিসি’র প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয় ওয়াচ নামের এই সেবাটি প্রায় অনেকটাই ইউটিউব এর মতোন। আপাতত পরীক্ষামূলকভাবে অল্প কিছু নির্দিষ্ট গ্রাহক এবং ভিডিও নির্মাতার জন্য চালু হবে ফেসবুক ওয়াচ। তবে খুব শীঘ্রই তা সর্বসাধারনের জন্য খুলে দেওয়া হবে বলে জানিয়েছে ফেসবুক।
