করতে পারে এই প্রযুক্তি।
নতুন এই প্রযুক্তির নাম বলা হয়েছে ‘সোক’। এতে ঘামে যদি লবণের মাত্রা বেশি থাকে তবে রঙ পরিবর্তন হয় যা পানিশূন্যতার ইঙ্গিত দেয়, বলা হয়েছে বিবিসি’র প্রতিবেদনে।
এর আগে ইউরোপিয়ান হাইড্রেশন ইন্সটিটিউট অ্যান্ড লাফবোরাফ ইউনিভার্সিটি’র এক গবেষণায় দেখা গেছে পানিশূন্যতায় আক্রান্ত চালকরা মদ্যপ চালকদের মতোই ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ।
ঘাম শণাক্তকারী এই কোটিং তৈরি করেছে ডাচ প্রতিষ্ঠান ড্রোগ। স্টিয়ারিং হুইলেও একই কোটিং ব্যবহার করেছে তারা। গাড়ির সামনের আসনে এটি ডিহাইড্রেশন সংকেত দিতে ঘামের মাত্রার ওপর ভিত্তি করে নীল থেকে হলুদ রঙ ধারণ করে।
কার্ডিফ ইউনিভার্সিটি বিজনেস স্কুল-এর ব্যবসা ও ধারণক্ষমতা বিশেষজ্ঞ অধ্যাপক পিটার ওয়েলস বলেন, “এটি একটি সামগ্রিক ধারণার অংশ, এটি শুধু গাড়ির পর্যবেক্ষণ নয় চালকেরও পর্যবেক্ষণ ব্যবস্থা।”
আপাতত এই সোক প্রযুক্তিকে উৎপাদন প্রক্রিয়ায় আনার কোনো পরিকল্পনা নেই বলে জানিয়েছে নিসান।
